Jane has been involved with the breed since meeting up with Peter Damarell in 1991 when she became a partner in Vonpeta Kennels which was established in 1973. The kennel has bred a Gold Medal winner, 23 Excellent graded animals, 5 class winners at National Shows and in excess of 20 Australian Champions.

Since becoming a member of the GSDC of SA Inc, Jane was lured to a Committee position to look after the “Social” portfolio for two years. After being elected as Treasurer she served one year of her term before taking a break. Currently Jane has held this position since 2001. She is an ANKC Championship Show Group 5 Judge, Specialist GSDC Judge and Trainee Judge for Group 6. As a day job she is employed as a Finance/Administration Officer.
