President: John De.Lucia
Resides: Gawler Belt,  South Australia

John joined the club in 1984 with his first German Shepherd “Sultan”, (Kyzerburg Captain Cook CD, and was heavily involved in the obedience section of the club.  Shortly after becoming a member of the club, John was elected to the Management Committee of the club and has been involved in a official capacity virtually ever since.

Various positions held have been:

·        Branch Manager for many years

·        Qualified Obedience Instructor

·        Social and Fundraising Co-coordinator

·        First Vice President

·        President

·        Life Member of the G.S.D.C. of S.A. Inc.

John was also involved on the SA Canine Association Obedience Committee.

John is currently the President of the Club and it is here where his time is greatly consumed.  However, he does enjoy traveling with his own dogs, bred under the “Babenberg” prefix to the shows to catch up with old faces, meeting new ones and always to support his wife, Jenny and their dogs.
